Mr. Trout died at his home in Northside on Friday last. A short funeral service was held at the home on Saturday evening. The body was taken to Whitestown on Sunday morning. Fred Johnson, George Vancleave and Jerry Burk, members of Conowingo Tribe, IORM of New Market, accompanied the body as pall bearers. The relatives coming here were: Charles Trout of Columbus; Marion Trout of Lebanon; Rose and Goldie Stultz of Brownsburg and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hendricks of Whitestown. "James E. Trout, son of James and Judith Anne Trout, was born in Johnson County IN Aug 1, 1860 and died April 9, 1915 of Bright's disease, aged 54 years, 8 months and 8 days. He was united in marriage to Martha Jane GOOD in Boone County, Indiana on August 12, 1883. To this union 7 children were born: Mrs. Rosa Stultz of Pittsboro; Mrs. Goldie Stultz of Brownsburg; Mrs. Anna Hendrickson of Crawfordsville; Roy, Omer, Marie and Arthur of Waveland. Three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. John Lucas of Missouri survive; also three brothers, Marion of Lebanon; John of Sheridan and Charles of Columbus. At the age of two years, with his parents he moved from Johnson County to Boone County near Whitestown where he lived until six years ago, when he moved to Waveland. His funeral service was held at Pleasant View near Whitestown on Sunday at 1 o'clock. He has been a church member for the last 25 years and was a member of the Waveland Baptist church at the time of his death; he was also a member of the IORM. He was of a quiet disposition, good, hearted and a great lover of home. His children and widow; three brothers and one sister survive him to mourn his loss."
