Colonel Charles O. Tribbett, widely known auctioneer of Boone and Montgomery county, passed away at his home in Sugar Creek township on Tuesday following an attack of bronchial pneumonia which he has suffered for the past ten days. Colonel Tribbett was born in Montgomery county and was 67 years, 11 months, and 29 days of age. He resided practically all his life in Montgomery and Boone counties and for thirty-two years was a citizen of Lebanon, leaving there in October, 1926 for his farm near Thorntown. Colonel Tribbett was married November 3, 1880, in Crawfordsville, to Della Morris who survives with the following children; Mrs. Snow Perkins of near Crawfordsville, Judge of Lebanon, Guy K. of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Otto of Lebanon, Albert L. of Anderson, John O, of near Shannondale, and Clyde M. of Fort Wayne. He also leaves one brother, Albert C. Tribbett of Montgomery county and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Klingler of Ladoga, Mrs. Sarah Henderson of Lebanon, and Miss Alice of Thorntown. Seventeen grandchildren also survive. Colonel Tribbett was a member of the Methodist church of Thorntown and of the Masonic lodge of Lebanon. The Masons had charge of the funeral services which was held this afternoon.
