Treadwell - Willa Lawrence

Mrs. Joseph Treadwell, well known here before her marriage as Miss Willa Lawrence, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Albert Armentrout in New Market Saturday from the effects of goitre. Her home was in Kansas City, Missouri from which place she came a few weeks ago for treatment. She had been in Culver Hospital for two weeks, being taken to New Market on Friday preceding her death. Funeral services were held from the home of her father Edward Lawrence near Browns Valley at 2 on Monday. Interment at Indian Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Treadwell was 26 years old and was married to Mr. Treadwell in January. Dr. and Mrs. Lee Straughan, Misses Mollie Seybold and Grace Gilliland and C.D. Barr attended the funeral. -- kbz
