Townsley - Harriet

Last evening at 5 o’clock Mrs. Jeremiah Townsley died in Indianapolis where she had been taking medical treatment for some time past. Mrs. Harriet Townsley was born Feb 21, 1826 in the state of Virginia. She was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Kelchner and was married to Jeremiah Townsley, June 8, 1845, at Dayton, Ohio. They moved to Indiana April 8, 1853. She was the mother of five children, four of whom still survive her. Her remains will be brought to the home of her son, Edward at 1101 E. Main street this evening, from which place the funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. Interment at Oak Hill. Mrs. Townsley joined the ME Church in 1855 and was a devout and sincere lady.
