Crawfordsville - Donnie Lee Townsend, 77 of Crawfordsville and formerly of Linden died Tuesday March 7, 2000 in W. 10th Street Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis.  Mr. Townsend was a journey-man roofer.  Born Jan 6, 1933 in Veedersburg, he was educated in schools there and in Cincinnati.  He married Wanda Lee Perkins Sept 19, 1951 and she survives. Mr. Townsend served as a specialist 4th class in the Army from 1954-1962 and before that in the Naval Reserves. He was a member of Wingate American Legion Post 174 and Veterans in Partnership. Surviving with his wife are two sons, Andrew Townsend of Linden and Daryl Allen Townsend of W Laf; four daughters, Deborah Ann Bickel of Cincinnati, Donna Arlene Morris of Romney, Denise Alane Farrell of Brownsburg; and Doreen Lynn Sheets of Parkersburg;  a sister, Grace Stewart of Crawfordsville and a brother, Marvin Keith Townsend of Caldwell, Ohio     ~~~transcribed by kbz
