THORNTOWN – Mrs. Emma Toney, 84, of Thorntown died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Brownsburg. She had lived at Thorntown the past 25 years and prior to that at Frankfort. She attended the Wesleyan Methodist Church at Thorntown. Mrs. Toney was born Nov. 6, 1889, in Boone County. She married George Toney, who survives and is a resident of the Golden Manor Nursing Home. Survivors include three children and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home here with the Rev. Edwin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery at Thorntown. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. – jlr
