Julia Toney, 80, Dies at Hospital Services Sunday at Darlington for Native of Montgomery County Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon, at the home of Bert Brainard, in Darlington, for Mrs. Julia A. Toney, age 80, widow of Calvin Toney, who died at Culver hospital, Friday morning from complications following an illness of three weeks. Mrs. Toney, born in Montgomery county, July 10, 1863, was the daughter of Mason and Nancy Summers. Mrs. Toney was twice married. She is survived by four children from her first marriage and five by her second marriage. Children who survive are Earl Elrod, of Indianapolis; Charles Elrod, of N. Hollywood, Calif,; Mrs. Nellie Githeus, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Gertrude Glass, of Bridgeport, from the first marriage, and Doris Pickett, Lafayette; Kenneth Toney, Burbank, Calif.; Keith Toney, Glendale, Calif.; Edgar Toney, of the United States Navy and Lucille Davis, of Cincinnati, from the second marriage. Mrs. Toney is also survived by a brother. Edgar Summers, well known a number of years ago as a professional baseball pitcher; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The Rev. A. L. Miller, of Darlington, will be in charge of the funeral services. Burial will be at Ladoga
