Omer L. Todd, 74, 307 High Street died Thursday night in Carmen Nursing Home where he had been a patient for several weeks. He was born Oct 25, 1895, in Monroe County to James and Elizabeth Helms Todd. He married Mary Ann Grubb June 19, 1912 in Lafayette. She died July 4, 1969. Mr. Todd was a member of Trinity Methodist Church Masonic Lodge NO. 50, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 377 and Donnelley Square Club. He had farmed near New Richmond many years and in 1943 moved to Crawfordsville. He worked for the Aluminum Plant in Lafayette and then RR Donnelley. After his retirement from Donnelley he was employed by Farm Bureau. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Monroe Lyon Rt 6 and Mrs. Francis Quigg, Rt 1; a brother, Walter Todd, Roachdale; two sisters, Mrs. Grover Perry Rt 2, and Mrs. Stella Davis Linden; five grandchildren and six greats. A son was killed in WWII. Rev. Paul Jump will conduct services at 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday. - kbz
