Joe Todd, 75, a life long resident of Waveland, went to his reward early Sat. morning on the day of his and Mrs. Todd's 52nd wedding anniv. Mr. Todd had been in failing health for 14 months and seriously ill since last September. The son of James C. and Frances Mitchell Todd, he married Edith Jarvis of Parke County on June 12, 1902. Mr. Todd followed the occupation of a farmer in his native community all his life. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. There remain his wife and 3 sons: Jarvis of California; Gerlin of Waveland and Joe, Jr. of Indianapolis; 3 grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Carter of Spencer and Mrs. Henry Buckel of Rapid City, MI; one brother, Robert of Logansport and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held at the Machledt Funeral Home Monday afternoon with Rev. John Servies as the officiating minister. Burial was made in Old Union Cemetery. - kbz
