Todd - Hester Harris

Mrs. J. W. Todd died at her home near Brownsvalley on the morning of Sept 10 of typhoid fever, and was interred at the Indian Creek Cemetery Sept 12 after funeral services conducted by Presiding Elder JH Cissell assisted by Rev CC Travis. Mrs. Todd, whose maiden name was Hester Ann Harris was born Oct 12, 1847 in Jessamine Co, Ky. She removed with her parents to Indiana in 1862 settling near Crawfordsville but the next year removed to the Brownsvalley neighborhood. She was married to John Todd, March 9, 1871 who survives her. She united with the M.E. Church in her 16th year and has been faithful to her vows living a consistent Christian life. She was a true and sincere disciple of Jesus. Her friends were counted by the number of those who knew her. - kbz

Again God in His infinite mercy has called away a dear beloved sister, Mrs. Hester Todd, wife of John W. Todd. She has been a faithful member of the M. E. Church for many years. She leaves a husband, brother and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. -s
