Raymond J. Titus, 64, CMR 10, an employee of Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power for the past 15 years, died at 6 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital. He had been ill for the past week. Prior to his employment with the city he was employed at Mid-States Steel & Wire for 20 years. Born July 18, 1906 in Crawfordsville he was the son of Isaac and Minerva Long Titus. He married Mildred Cears Sept 24, 1927 who survives him. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Barbara Jean Adams of Gary; Mrs. Betty Joan Korhonen of Seattle, Wash; Mrs. Janice Darlene Mueller of Tracy, Calif; Miss Anna Marthene Titus of Xenia, Ohio; Mrs. Nancy Ellen Soards of Phoenix; two sons, Thomas Richard Titus of West Chicago Ill; Robert J. Titus of Crawfordsville; 14 grandchildren a brother, Arnold Titus of Mt. Home Ark; two sisters, Mrs. Eileen Sharp of Mrs. Julia Tilford both of Sacramento, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hubble officiating and interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. - kbz
