Titus - Lou Brown

Mrs. Lou E. TITUS, 66, wife of Elbert Titus, died at her home 606 E. Market St at 2 o'clock on Thursday morning. Death was due to erysipelas and followed an illness of two weeks. The deceased was born in Illinois, the daughter of John P. and Anna BROWN. She was married to Elbert A. Titus in May 1882. Mrs. Titus had spent practically all of her life in Montgomery County coming here with her parents when she was a small child. She was a member of the First Christian Church of this city. The survivors are the husband, one daughter, Mrs. Mahlon Baldwin of Crawfordsville; two sons, Loren A. Titus and Forrest A. Titus, both of this city; one great granddaughter, Nancy Ent of this city ; a sister Mrs. Florence E. Munsell of Indianapolis and two brothers, Ben F. Brown and P.M. Brown of Long Beach, Cal. Another son, Harry died in infancy and a daughter, Mabel, died when she was 4 years old. The funeral services will be held at the home on E. Market Street Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. JH Wilson. Burial will take place in the Waynetown Cemetery with brief services at the grave at 3:30 p.m. - typed by kbz
