Titus - Forest

Forest A. Titus, 73 of 200 Woodlawn Place, a resident of Crawfordsville 45 years, died Monday at Culver Hospital at 12:55 p.m. He had been in the hospital two days. He was born May 27, 1891, near Alamo to Elbert and Lou Brown Titus. He was married to Della Tyler April 7, 1912 at Waynetown. They started housekeeping at Waynetown before moving to Crawfordsville in 1920. Mr. Titus worked at a grocery and at Indiana Printing the last 17 years prior to retirement. He had been retired since 1957. He was educated in the Waynetown schools. He was a member of the First Christian Church of which he was a deacon for more than 35 years and the Christian Builders Sunday School class. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Mrs. Guy (Mary) Hammitt of Jacksonville, Fla. He was preceded in death by a son and a twin brother. The body is at the Bright Funeral Home, where arrangements are incomplete pending arrival of the sister.- kbz
