Elbert Albert Titus, native of the Alamo community died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon the result of a stroke which followed an illness of two years.
The deceased was born Oct 19, 1861 on a farm near Alamo the son of Noble and Mary Ammerman Titus and was married to Louella Brown who died 8 years ago. Mr. Titus was a member of the Christian church of this city and of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias Lodges of Waynetown.
He is survived by two sons, Forest and Foren Titus and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Baldwin all of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Harold Baldwin and Mrs. Howard Ent; two great grandchildren; a brother, George Titus and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Hybarger of Alamo and Mrs. Fanny Lewellyn of Crawfordsville.
The funeral will be held from the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home in this city at 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. Paul Million. Burial will be mad in the Waynetown Msonic cemetery. - kbz
