Word was received by relatives here that Campbell Tinsley, former local hardware dealer, died at the Evansville Hospital Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Mr. Tinsley was born here Nov. 30, 1874, a son of Harvey Robert and Elizabeth Dunn Tinsley. He was a member of the Episcopal church and charter member of the Elks Lodge. While a resident here Mr. Tinsley was connected with the Tinsley Hardware Store. He attended Wabash College. He was married to Claudine Barnett, who survives in 1900. Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Miss Margaret Tinsley of Mansfield O and Mrs. Melvin Smith of Mansfield, O; two sisters, Jane Tinsley and Marie Tinsley of this city; four brothers, William of St. Louis; John, Robert and Fred, all of this city and one granddaughter. Private funeral services will be conducted at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home here Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock with Rev. BE Antrobus in charge. Interment will be in the Oak Hill cemetery. The remains may be viewed at the funeral parlors until 9 o’clock Tuesday morning.

Private funeral services for George Campbell Tinsley were conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Proffitt & Son Funeral parlors with Rev. BE Antrobus officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Oak Hill cemetery. Pall bearers were Melvin Smith, Bob Payne, Roy Trouble, John Tinsley, Fred Tinsley and Robert Tinsley. Flower bearers were Mrs. Melvin Smith, Mrs. Fred Tinsley and Miss Marie and Jane Tinsley. Organ hymns were played before and after the services by Miss Iva Reynolds.
