Hillsboro - Grace Mae Tinsley, 96, formerly of Hillsboro died at 7:54 p.m. Feb 20, 1995 in Ben Hur Nursing Center, Crawfordsville. She was born in Hillsboro Aug 26, 1898, daughter of Charles E and Harriet Whittaker Williams. She married James Glen Tinsley July 9, 1917. He preceded Jan 5, 1960. She was a life resident of Hillsboro, and graduated from HHS in 1917. She and her husband owned and operated Tinsley Town & Country Store 1947-1963. She was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church; former member of Fern Chapter No 194 OES; member of Dorothy Q DAR, Crawfordsville and Ladies Auxiliary of the Amerian Legion of Hillsboro. Surviving two daughters, June (Hamlin) Cox and Mary Ellen (Marion B) Cooper, both of Crawfordsville; a son, James Robert (Vera) Tinsley; Panama City Beach, Fl; two sisters, Florence Tinsley, Auroroa, Colo; Ruth E. Williams, Crawfordsville; six grandchildren; two step granddaughters, 14 great grandchildren and five step grat grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today (Friday) at Hillsboro Christian Church with Rev. Craig Wascovich officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Visitation one hour prior to funeral at the church, Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro in charge.
