Threlkeld - Ora Otto

Ira Otto Threlkeld, 56 years of age, well known farmer who had spent his entire life in Jackson and Jefferson townships, Boone county, passed away at his home near Golliday school in Jefferson township this morning at 10:20 o'clock. He had been in ill health the past three years and his death was attributed to a complication of ailments. Mr. Threlkeld was born in Boone county, a son of John H. and Rebecca (Martha Threlkeld, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married in this county to Stella Cogle, who survives. Survivors are the widow and eight children, Everett Threlkeld of New Ross, Earl Thelkeld(sic) of Jefferson township, Mrs. Ruth Hutchens and Ray Threlkeld of Brain, Pa., Mrs. Ruby Isenhower of Lebanon, Mrs. Laura Swank of Crawfordsville, Miss Helen Threlkeld and John Edward Threlkeld at home; two brothers, Alva Thelkeld(sic) and Lonie Threlkeld of Linnsburg and eleven grandchildren. Three children, Gladys Threlkeld Butler and Ora and Esther Eva Threlkeld, are deceased. Funeral services will be held at the residence in Jefferson Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Cornelius Airhart officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery. Repository: Lebanon Public Library. There was also an obituary in the Crawfordsville Journal Review on September 24.
