NEW ROSS --- Everett F. Threlkeld, 65, New Ross, died Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette following an illness of three months. He was born in Boone County to Otto and Stella Cogle Threlkeld on June 18, 1901. On Dec. 9, 1920, he was married to Pearl Walker in Danville, Ill. Mr. Threlkeld had been self-employed as a hauler of agricultural lime and phosphate to farms in the area. He was a member of the New Ross Volunteer Fire Department. He belonged to the New Ross Conservation Club and the Darlington Conservation Club. Survivors include the widow; two brothers, Roy Threlkeld of Darlington and John T. Threlkeld of Jamestown; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Mae Swank of Jamestown, Mrs. Ruth Hutchens of Salem, Mo., and Mrs. Helen Fernandez of Catlin, Ill., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Funeral Home in Jamestown with Rev. Albert Amos officiating. Burial will be in New Ross. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday.
