Threlkeld - Audie Shirley

Mrs. Audie May Threlkeld, 51 years old, wife of Alva C. Threlkeld, died Tuesday night at Culver hospital after an illness of two months. Born Oct. 15, 1892 in Montgomery county, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Shirley, she was married to Alva C. Threlkeld, Oct. 12, 1912. Also surviving are: three daughters, Mrs. Mary McCory of Kirklin, Mrs. Lorette Voorhis of Lebanon, and Mrs. Laura Dalton of Monroe, Wis., fours sons, Pfc. Russell Threlkeld of Fort Slocum, N. G., Sgt. William H. Threlkeld, Camp Fannin, Tex., Henry Melvin Threlkeld of Monroe, Wis., and Donald Robert Threlkeld, at home, two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wilkens, and Mrs. Edna Greggs of Lebanon, one brother, John Shirley, also of Lebanon, eight grandsons, three granddaughters, five step granddaughters, three step grandsons, and three stepsons, Iren of Danville, Lester of Fayette, and Louis of Indianapolis. The parents, three sisters, and a brother preceded her in death. The body was taken to the Hunt & Sons funeral home where it was kept until Wednesday afternoon when it was removed to the family residence at Linnsburg. Service will be at the Mace Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, with burial at Pisgah cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour preceding the rites.
