Miss Mary Peck Thomson of Chicago died suddenly at an early hour this morning, according to a telegram received by her nephew, Harley T. Ristine of this city. Miss Thomson was well known to the older residents of the city being the daughter of the late Samuel S. Thomson, for many years a member of the faculty of Wabash College. Miss Thomson was the youngest of six children, the oldest being Mrs. THeodore H. Ristine who died two years ago. Miss Thomson has been a resident of Chicago for many years and had a studio in the Fine Arts building where she had attained considerable prominence as a teacher of singing and numbered among herp upils were many well known singers. Friends and relatives of Miss Mary Peck Thomson former resident of Crawfordsville attended impressive funeral services for the deceased at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harley T. Ristine, 208 Marshall Street Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Louis P. Cain of Chicago and the Rev. MV Oggel of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was made at Oak Hill Cemetery. The pall bearers were John Binford; G.S. McCluer; James Wedding; George V. Kendall; James Paterson and John Calvin of Indianapolis. Miss Thomson was the daughter of Samuel Thomson, professor of Latin at Wabash College. Dr. Cain, who assisted with the rites was graduated from Wabash with the class of 1890. Among those attending the service was Mrs. Leslie Hawkridge of Boston, Mass.
