Thomson - Mary Allen

Mary B. Thomson, 82 years old for a half century, a resident of Crawfordsville and member of one of the best known families here during that period died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John S. McLain in Minneapolis, Minn Monday. The body will be brought to Crawfordsville for burial. Funeral services will be held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Ristine on Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Thomson was the widow of the late Prof. Samuel S. Thomson who was professor of Latin in Wabash College for many years. His death occurred 32 years ago. Mrs. Thomson was born in Rockville but came to this city at the time of her marriage to Professor Thomson. She has been making her home with daughter in Minneapolis for several years past, following her 50 years' residence here. More than a year ago Mrs. Thomson was here for an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. T.H. Ristine. Besides Mrs. McLain and Mrs. Ristine, the deceased is survied by two other daughters, Mrs. Evelyn McCarer and Miss Mary P. Thomson of Chicago. (thanks Ms Suzie Q at CDPL)
