Gordon M. Trout, 87 of Indianapolis and formerly of Crawfordsville died Tuesday in his residence. Mr. Trout was also formerly of Alberta, Canada. He was an employee of the Defense Supply Agence for 18 years and retired as a contracting officer in 1974. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He played in theater orchestars and dance bands including those led by David Hughes, Doc Loop, Whispering Jack Wright, Louis Lowe, Chic Myers, Ayers Lamar and Walt Jackson. He also had been a membe rof the national Russ Morgan band. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church; Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity; Millersville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite & Shrine; American Legion Post 262; al ife member of the Musicians Union Local 3 and the Indianapolis Museum of Art. He was 1931 graduate of Wabash College. He was born Dec 20, 1909 to Roy and Dot Moore Trout. He married Rosamond Barnes Turner. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Carole A. McDaniel of Indianapolis; Kathryn T. Anderson of Unionville and Martha S. McDermott of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Kathryn Tibbals of Minocqua, WI; and 3 grandchildren,. The body will be creamated. Memorial services are scheduled at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Flanner & Buchanan Broad Ripple Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charit or to Community Service Organization.
