Universal sorrow prevailed this morning when it was learned that Mrs. Harvey Tinsley had passed into that other life during the hours of the night. Although not unexpected it was a shock and of the kind for which we can scarcely prepare. Mrs. Tinsley was seized with an attack of the grip about 10 weeks ago and severe complications rendered her recovery doubtful. However, as time grew apace and she still survived the hope that she might be spared was strengthened. And so it was until a few days since, when there came a change for the worse and she sank gradually until 1:30 o'clock this morning when the angel of death knocked and a beloved spirit responded to the call. Mrs. Lizzie Dunn Tinsley was born in Frankfort in 1848 and was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. WP Dunn. She was also a niece of Miss Janie Jones and Mrs. Elizabeth Binford of this city. About 22 years ago she was united in marriage to Harvey Tinsley and came to this city, where she has since resided happy in the surroundings of home and a large circle of near and very dear friends. Seven children, two girls and five boys, were born to bless this union and all are left to mourn the irreparable loss. Mrs. Tinsley was a conscientious and consistent member of Center Church and very enthusiastic in church work. She was also a member of the WRC and prominent in that as well as in other works of charity. The funeral announcement will be made tomorrow. - typed by kbz
