Mrs. Vanda L. Thompson, 75 of 608 E. Market St., died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Maple View Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born Aug. 7, 1890 at Linden to Isaac and Mary Mahorney Whitecotton. She married William Thompson Oct. 30, 1909. Mrs. Thompson attended the Christian Church at Linden. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Harris of Crawfordsville; six sons, Kenneth Joseph of Hillsboro, John of Lafayette, William, Max and Robert of Crawfordsville and Stanley of Quincy, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Bessier Capper of California, and 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Carlyle Scott officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
