Alamo - Roy Everett Thompson, 72 of Alamo died at 9:05 a.m. Friday at Culver Hospital where he had been a patient since Thurday. He had been ill six weeks and seriouly ill a day prior to death. Born near Ladoga March 21, 1894 he was the son of Frank M. and Fannie Shelley Thomson (sic). On Jan 7, 1922 he married Ruth Weir at Crawfordsville. Mr. Thompson was a member of the Alamo Christian Church and WWI Barracks at Ladoga. He had been custodian of Crawfordsville HS for 17 years. During his lifetime, he had also resided in the Linden and New Richmond communities. He had spent the past 5 years on a farm SW of Alamo. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby; a half-brother, Arthur A. Moore, and a great granddaughter. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Garald D. Thompson of New Whiteland and Lewis R. Thompson of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Ramona Hallett of Alamo; 8 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Hugh Dooley will officiate assisted by Rev. Morris Finch. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Sunday.

Alamo – Roy Everett Thompson, 72 of Alamo died in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville at 9:05 a.m. Friday. He had been ill six weeks and in serious condition one day.  Born near Ladoga, he was custodian of Crawfordsville HS 17 years and also formerly lived in the Linden and New Richmond communities and for the last 5  years on a farm southwest of Alamo. Mr. Thompson was a veteran of WWI and was married to Ruth Weir in Crawfordsville in 1922. He was a member of Alamo Christian Church and WWI Barracks at Ladoga.  Surviving with the widow are two sons, Garld D of New Whiteland and Lewis R. of Crawfordsville and a daughter, Mrs. Ramona Hallett of Alamo. - kb
