L. Eveline THOMPSON, 85, New Market died Monday, June 22, 1964 at the Westbrook Nursing home, Crawfordsville. Born west of New Market Nov 20, 1878 she was a daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Brown Layne. She married Arlie Thompson in Indianapolis Sept 12, 1899. he died February 1934. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church. Survivors include 4 sons: Lloyd; Leo; Leroy; Lawrence; 12 grandchildren; a step granddaughter; 33 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Funeral Services were held Wed at Noble Reeves; burial in Freedom Cemetery. -- kbz

Eveline Thompson Succumbs at 85- NEW MARKET- L. Eveline Thompson, 85, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday in the Westbrook Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. She had been ill six months. Born west of New Market Nov. 20, 1878, she was a daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Brown Layne. She married Arlie Thompson in Indianapolis Sept. 12, 1899. He died February 1934. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church. Survivors include four sons, Lloyd of New Market, Leo of Alamo, Leroy of Browns Valley and Lawrence of Crawfordsville; 12 grandchildren, a step-granddaughter, 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday. -- kbz
