Miss Leva Thompson of RR 3, Veedersburg, age 77, died Thursday morning, February 17, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was born near Salem, May 20, 1905, the daughter of Joseph and Flora Early Thompson. Miss Thompson was a member of the Undenominational Church at Mellott and had lived most of her life in the Mellott and Waynetown areas.
Survivors include two sisters, Lula Chafin of Logansport and Olive Hopkins of Linden; two brothers, Victor Thompson of RR 3, Veedersburg, with whom she made her home, and Raymond Thompson of Attica; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Robert Synan and Rev. Keith Bailey officiating. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery at Hillsboro. – thanks to S
