Thompson - Katie Wallace

Mrs. Katie Ann Thompson, 74, died suddenly of a heart attack at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at her home, 1616 Ladoga Rd. She was born May 31, 1890, to Samuel and Rhue Ann Wallace. She married Perl Thompson in 1908. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Kingman EUB Church. She had lived in this community since 1952, coming here from Dover. Surviving are three sons. Garland and Gordon of Indianapolis and Gene of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Riddle of Whitestown; a half-sister, Dora Shell of Veedersburg; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A son Gerald is deceased. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. – jlr
