James A. Thompson, aged 71, dropped dead at his home, 605 Crawford Street at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning. The immediate cause of his death was attributed to heart disease. Mr. Thompson was born and raised in this county and most of his life was spent on farms at Whitesville and the southern part of the county. He was twice married and the only children he had were by the first marriage and they have all preceded him and all the known relatives that survive him are his wife, Mary and two cousins, Uncle Jonathan Thompson who lives on west Wabash Avenue and Samuel Thompson of Cherry Grove. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 1 o'clock Rev Oliphant officiating and burial will be made at the Old Union Center Cemetery near Waveland - kbz
