James Thompson Dies On the Farm Where He Has Lived for Seventy-five years Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock, occurred the death of James Thompson on his farm, two miles northwest of Yountsville. Mr. Thompson was seventy-seven years of age and spent on the large farm where he died. He had been ill health for a number of years and his death was due to complication of diseases. He was born in Butler county, Ohio, in 1826, and two years later he was brought to this county by his father and mother, who entered the land upon which Mr. Thompson has lately resided. Surviving Mr. Thompson are his wife and ten children, Andrew Thompson of this city; Charles, of Lafayette; William, of Yountsville; Mrs. Thomas Harp, of Yountsville; Mrs. Robert Lydick, of Yountsville; Mrs. Frank Van Dyke, of Lafayette; Mrs. William Waters, and Mrs. O.H. Hutchings, of this city; Mrs. Daniel Yount, of Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Elmer Ball, of Tampa, Fla. At the time of his death, all of these children were at his bedside, except Mrs. Ball. The funeral occurred today at 2 o'clock at the home and the burial was at the Thompson cemetery on the home farm.
