Our Darlington correspondent came to hand just in time to be crowded out of this issue but we are enabled to glean from it the sad news of the death of Squire Thompson, who died on Friday the 18th inst. He was taken with a severe attack of cholera morbus on Thursday at 4 o'clock pm went home and at 4 o'clock Friday morning he died. During the funeral on Saturday, every business house in the village was closed. Thus Darlington has lost another of her oldest and best citizens.
