Mrs. Iva Naomi Thompson, 49, RFD 1, Wingate, died suddenly Tuesday morning (Nov 11) at 8 o'clock at Longcliff Hospital near Logansport. Death was caused by pulmonary embolism. Born Dec 24, 1902 in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Wililam J. and Mary Shumaker Cox. She was married to James O. Thompson at Crawfordsville on March 21, 1923. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Linden Christian Church. Surviving are the husband/ three daughters, Mrs. Helen Hankins of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Betty Bartlett of LInden and Janet Thompson at home; three sons, Henry Thompson of Crawfordsville; James F. Thompson with the Air Force at Ogden, Utah and Jerry Thompson at home; her mother, Mrs. Mary Cox of Darlington'; five sisters, Mrs. Orvill Mahoy of Lafayette; Mrs. Willard Mahoy of Bowers; Mrs. Mary Cook of Shannondale; Mrs. Lela Todd of Rockville and Miss Alta Cox of Darlington; two brothers, Harold Cox of Shannondale and Lin Cox of Darlington; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon 2 o'clock from the Proffitt & Sons Mortuary, Rev. Warren Braden will be in charge and burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
