Miss Ida May Thompson, who is well known here died at the Battle  Creek Sanitarium on Thursday. She went there some weeks ago to be treated for stomach trouble which finally diagnosed as cancer. The funeral services were held on Saturday at 11. Interment at Bethany.  Ida May Thompson, daughter of Thomas B. and Nancy E. Thompson was born in Parke County, Indiana July 16, 1868 and died in Battle Creek, Michigan October 8, 1908 at age 40 years 2 months 22 days. At the age of 16 she entered Earlham College attending this school one year during which time she was .. erted and the following year joined the ME Church at Greencastle, having entered DePauw. She continued her studies at this school three years after which she completed a course in art developing a remarkable talent for portrait painting and kindred work. Ida was of a truly gracious ? disposition taking great interest in religious work and when a resident of Waveland the Junior Epworth League.  Truthful and frank at all times she would spare not herself the consequences as __ fault, and as her mother says never told her a falsehood in her life. In her dearest ? disposition she leaves a __ example to those she leaves behind. During the __ of life suffering she had always a __ face and a ___ __ for her friend, never ___ a way (sorry, this is just too dim to transcribe ☹ )
