Mrs. Andrew Thompson, Formerly of Near Yountsville, is Dead Yountsville, Jan. 7 - Relatives here have received word of the death of Mrs. Andrew Thompson at Carlyle, Montana. It is not known weather her body will be brought back here to her former home for burial or not. Mrs. Thompson was a former resident of Ripley township and was the stepdaughter of George Hopping. Her name before her marriage was Miss Ella Coleon (Colson). She went with her husband and daughter, Miss Nellie, to Montana, about eight years ago. About three weeks ago she went to Rochester, Minn., and underwent a surgical operation for goiter, with which she had been afflicted for a long time. She seemed to recover from the effects of the operation and returned to her home and after one week she became ill and died. Her daughter, who has married since going west, also underwent an operation at Rochester for goiter. She had not recovered fully when her mother was taken fatally ill and was called to her home through in no condition to travel. The result of this trip is not known here but her friends are much alarmed for fear she may have a relapse.

Thanks so very much to Kim H :) kz
