Crawfordsville, Sept 28 – Mrs. Anna M. (Shanklin) Thompson, 73, wife of TC Thompson died this morning at 6:30 o’clock at the family home, 612 W Market Street, this city after an illness of two years. She had been seriously ill for the past two months. Born in Montgomery County Feb 17, 1861 she was the daughter of John W. and Elizabeth (Gray) Shanklin.  Her entire life with the exception of three years in Lafayette was spent in Montgomery County. On Oct 15, 1882, she was married to Mr. Thompson.  She was a member of the Yountsville Methodist Church.  Surviving with the husband are the following children: Walter of Crawfordsville Rt 4; Clarence E of Corydon; Frank G of Bloomfield; Mrs. Mary E. Bible of Waynetown; Mrs. Helen M. Miller of Franklin and Mrs. Gertrude Robbins of Brook also four brothers: George, Harry and Willard Shanklin of Crawfordsville and  Howard Shanklin of Springfield, Ill and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dittamore of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Elizabeth Lawton of Waynetown. Friends may call at the residence until Sunday noon.  Private services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence with the Rev. Guy Tremaine officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
