Thompson - Amos - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Amos Thompson, an old citizen of this county, died at his home six miles northwest of the city this morning at 1 o’clock, aged 81 years. He had been indisposed for about four weeks, but the immediate cause of his death was heart disease. Mr. Thompson came to this county more than fifty years ago and was a leading and influential citizen, honest, upright and sincere. He leaves a wife and five children. His remains will be interred at Thompson Chapel graveyard tomorrow. - thanks to Kim H
