Willis Jackman, Noah Flannigan and I, W. Cochran, committee on resolutions from the West Union Horse Thief Detective Company, No. 125, reported the following resolutions on the death of William H. Thompson: Whereas, said William H. Thompson was removed by the hand of death on March 11, 1887, we feel under obligation to offer the following preamble and resolution in behalf of the deceased brother. Be it therefore, resolved, that he being an efficient member, the company feel that it has sustained an irreparable loss. But we must submit to Him that doeth all things well, yet the family has sustained a greater loss than we, therefore we offer them our sincere sympathies and protection. And resolved that a copy of the above be furnished to The Journal and Review for publication, and a copy presented to the family and also be entered upon the minutes. ---dkd
