Ric Thompson, 68, Trenton, Florida, died May 25, 2021, at his residence.

He was born April 26, 1953, in Montgomery County, to Robert L. and Mildred P. Thompson and lived in the Crawfordsville area with his five siblings, Steve (jean), Mike (Debbie), Karen (Jim) Ameltzer, Keith and Dave.  He attended Crawfordsville High School.

Ric worked many years in the Crawfordsville area owning and operating a successful construction business along with various other occupations that required hard work and dedication which he never shied from.  In his later years he moved to Trenton, Florida, where he loved and was loved cared for by Marcie Dowell for the past 20 plus years.  Along with spending quiet time at home with Marcie, he enjoyed many outdoors activities such as gardening, boating, fishing and hunting.Surviving are seven children, Misty Lewis ( Charlie), Risty Thompson (Gee Soo), Amber Cleck (Brain), Krystle Thompson, Diamond Patterson, Kathie Jeanor and Michelle Sears;  15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
