Mrs. Mayme Bible Thomas, 66, wife of Clyde A. Thomas, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at her home, 218 E. Pike St. She was a native of near New Richmond, born March 26, 1891, to Richard and Mary Frazier Bible. She married Mr. Thomas Feb. 12, 1913. Most of her life was spent on a farm near New Richmond. She lived in New Richmond from 1933 to 1949, when she moved to Crawfordsville. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the New Richmond Methodist Church and Crawfordsville WSCS, the Crawfordsville Symphony, Home Economics Club and Athens Saddle Club. Surviving are the husband; one sister, Mrs. John G. Utterback of Crawfordsville; two brothers, James F. Bible of Dayton, Ind., and Frederic E. Bible of Linden; a nephew, Richard E. Bible of Linden, and two nieces, Mrs. K. Lee Meyer of Urbana, Ill., and Mrs. William Mitchell of Mulberry, Ind. A son, Maurice B. Thomas, died Aug. 14, 1932, and a brother, Dr. A. E. Bible, died in 1930. Funeral rites will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Donald F. McMahan and Dr. Ralph W. Graham will officiate, with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery.
