Margaret M. Thomas, 91, Crawfordsville died 8:17 a.m. Wednesday at Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. Thomas was a homemaker and had worked for Indiana Printing. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church near Waveland. She was a 1936 graduate of New Market HS. She was born Dec 12, 1917 in Crawfordsville to Ola and Ruby (Caldwell) Brasfield. She married Herschel G. Thomas Sept 4, 1937 in Crawfordsville. He died in 1998. Survivors include brother Ola "Bud" Brasfield, Browns Valley. She is preceded in death by her husband and sisters Waneta Bayless, Pauline Bayless and Mary Katherine Crispin.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, New Market with Rev. Wallie Nichols officiating. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. Friends may call noon- 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be sent to powerspriebe.
