Thomas - Levi -1883

Levi Thomas, a prominent and highly respected citizen of Montgomery county, died at his residence three miles north of Crawfordsville on Sunday night at 8 o'clock. He was born in Butler county, Ohio, in October 1828. He was a prominent Democrat and was twice elected County Commisioner, and during six years of service filled the office intelligently and acceptably. He was a zealous member of the Christian church and also belonged to the order of Free Masons Owing to the serious illness of his two sons, James and Richard, who are alos dangerously ill with typhoid fever, no religious services could be held at the residence.
