Dr. J.M. Thomas, one of Montgomery county's oldest residents, died near this place on Saturday, the 16th, inst., He died of dropsy of the heart, after being confined to his room for four months. He was a member of the Christian church, and also of the Masonic lodge, by which fraternity he was buried Monday. - thanks to Kim H
