Gladys THOMAS -- Hillsboro - Services were conducted Monday at HIllsboro for Mrs. Gladys Thomas, 82, of Hillsboro, who died early Saturday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been a patient for 12 weeks. The Rev. Dorman Winger officiated. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Prarie Chapel Christian Church and Ladies Aid; and honorary member of HIllsboro Harmony Club a member of Cain Twp Economics Club; member of Circle II and Hillsboro Christian Church; a former member of County Home Economics Chorus and the anniversary certificate for WHo's Who on Indiana from the Federation of Music Club. She was a graduate of Waynetown High School. Born June 4, 1896, near Odell, she was the daughter of Hal and Clara Bell Mitchell Epperson. She was married to James E. Thomas on Dec 22, 1915 near Waynetown. He died Sept 18, 1970. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Alberta) Dickerson of Newtown and Mrs. Lee (Patsy) Ellis of Waynetown; a granddaughter, Mrs. Marcia Ramsey of Dallas, Texas; and two great granddaughters. A daughter and sister are deceased. - kbz
