Elisha E C Thomas, 82, a retired farmer died Monday in Ben Hur Nursing Home where he had been a patient since June 1972. He was born March 31, 1891 at Sommerset, KY to Clark and Nancy McDaniels Thomas and was married to Audrey Poore Jan 8, 1917. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Faubush, KY and moved to the Fountain and Montgomery County area in 1931. Survivors include his wife, a son, Clyde C. of New Ross; two daughters, Mrs. William (Hazel) DeLong of Lebanon and Mrs. William (Barbara) Sloan of Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Ralph Swarthout officiating. Burial in Wesley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today. - transcribed by kbz
