Earl Gilbert THOMAS, 56, of Waveland died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 10, 1961 while driving his truck in Waveland. He was born Feb 20, 1905 in Rockville, son of James Edward and Susie Jack Thomas. He had been a resident of Parke and Montgmoery County's most of his life. Mr. Thomas was in the gravel business and ran the Waveland Redi-Mix plant for some years. He was employed by the town of Waveland at the time of his death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and graduate of Kimberland HS in Tennessee. Survivors include a brother, Alvie of Waveland; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Gwinn of Lafayette and Mrs. Cliston Alward of Marshall and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday at Machledt & Servies in Waveland with Rev. James Dickerson of Indianapolis officiating; Burial in Memory Garden, Rockville.- transcribed by kbz
