Dorothy Marie Thomas, 79 of 17 Sugar Creek Mobile Estates died at 9:10 p.m. Sunday in Clinton House, Convalescent Center, Frankfort. Mrs. Thomas was formerly employed by Montgomery Ward and operated anursing homeon Fremont St for sevearl years. She was a graduate of CHS, attended East Side Baptist and was a member of the Sr. Citizens. She was born Feb 13, 1911 at Crawfordsville to Earl and Bessie Hesler Stephens. She married Merle Thomas June 6, 1928 at Crawfordsvillle; he died in 1961. Surviving are a son, Ronald of Freedom, Ind; a daughter Darlene Carpenter of Thorntown; 3 brothers, Byron of Lake CIty; Fl; Raymond and Robert of Crawfordsille; a sister, Katherine Stephens of Crawfordsville 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Dooley officiating.
