Wallace - Funeral services for Chauncey R. Thomas, a lifelong resident of Fountain County were held at Phanuel Luterhan Church near Wallace Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. Skuli J. Sigurgeirson, pastor of the church. Pallbearers were Everett Clore, Clifford Spragg, Leverett Owens, Eston Smith, Oscar Grimes and Thomas Grimes. Flower bearers were Mrs. Everett Clore, Mrs. Clifford Spragg, Mrs. Alta Brown, Mrs. Ralph Myers, Mrs. Lloyd Rudisell and Mrs. Roy Bowman. A number of piano selections were played by Mr. Delbert Lawler. Mr. Thomas, a teacher in the Parke, Fountain and Montgomery County schools, many years, died Friday evening Sept 12.
