Special to The Journal. Ladoga, Jan. 26.- Thomas B. Terry, one of the prominent farmers of Clark Township, died at his home two miles north of this place on Tuesday night, just a half hour after midnight. He was a patient sufferer with some malady of the stomach for over a year and his death was not unexpected. The funeral will occur Thursday afternoon at one o’clock at the Christian church, of which he had been a member for nineteen years. The minister in charge will be Rev. S. G. Smith and the interment will be in the Harshbarger cemetery. Mr. Terry was a native of Old Virginia, having been born at Christiansburg, Montgomery county, September 10, 1848, his parents being Mr. And Mrs. Thomas W. Terry. He was a brother of Joseph Terry of New Ross, Scott Terry of Roachdale, Charles and John Terry of Ladoga, and Jacob Terry of Coatsville. His sisters are Mrs. George Taylor, and Mrs. Lewis Miller of New Market, Misses Kate and America Terry, of Ladoga, Mrs. Dora Curtis of Danville and Mrs. Joel Brookshire of Greencastle. He was married March 1, 1874, to Mary E. Teeters at Ladoga, who preceded him to the other world. The children who survive him are Edgar and Charles Terry, of Whitesville, Mrs. Joe Pattison of Linnsburg, Mrs. W. L. Goodbar, Roy, Vora, Ruth, Virginia, Ralph and Ruby of Ladoga. Those who have died are Ada, Lottie, and Harry. Mr. Terry was a member of the Masonic order and the Odd Fellows. He was also a confederate veteran, having gone out with the cavalry in Virginia, where he served as an officer.
