Mrs. Ruth Eleanor Terry, 47, of 704 S. Walnut St., died Tuesday morning in Culver Hospital. She had been in failing health three years. Mrs. Terry, wife of city fireman Lowell Terry, was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Fireman's Auxiliary. She was also active in Scouting until her health began failing. Born Nov. 21, 1919, in Detroit, she was a daughter of William and Elizabeth Day Bowers. She was a graduate of New Market High School. On Jan. 30, 1942, she was married to Lowell Terry. Survivors in addition to the husband include her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Bowers of Crawfordsville; a son, William at home; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Shuman of Lafayette and Mrs. Betty Hopkins of Anderson, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Milo Riggs officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Wednesday. - typed by Chris M.
