Terry - Ruby

Mace, Oct 30 - Miss Ruby Terry, 21 years old, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Joseph Patterson (sic - Pattison), just north of here, Tuesday evening (29 Oct) at 7 o'clock after an illness of over 8 months of tuberculosis. Some months ago she was taken to the Rockville sanitarium for treatment, but was later brought to the home of her sister here, where she has been for several months. Ruby was born near Ladoga where she was reared. She was a member of the Christian Church. For some time she was employed in the office of Dr. H.W. Sigmond in Crawfordsville as an assistant and roomed with Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Fine on South Walnut Street and while there made a large number of warm friends who will be pained to hear of her death. Despite her illness, she was of a cheerful disposition and was loved by all who knew her. Her illness caused her to give up her work, which had a bright future and she came to the home of Beecher Dice, near here to live from which place she was taken to the sanitarium at Rockville. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Patterson (sic), Mrs. Ruth Hobson and and Mrs. Beecher Dice, all of this place and four brothers, Edgar, Charles and Bora (sic - Vora), of Whitesville and Ralph of New Ross also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Roy Patterson of Ladoga. kz
